Celebrated my 21st birthday yesterday. I have to say, even if I didn't get to hang out with any of my friends around town, it was a really good birthday.

I got a laminating device from my mum and dad and a little heart necklace from my grandmum<3
Now I can make bookmarks and tags and fun stuff.

Had Chinese food for lunch with dad. It was really, really good.

And then later my parents and I hit up some bars.
We first went to the one where my mom and stepdad met. There I had a brain hemorrhage with my mom and we all played a couple rounds of pool. I lost to my mom and won against my dad.

We then went to The Peacock, where my biological father used to cook and my mum tended the bar when she was pregnant with me. There we had a blowjob (which we could not drink properly because the glasses were too wide) and listened to a guy sing karaoke.

And our last stop for the night was at Mexican bar and restaurant ( I can't remember how to spell the name, so I won't try and mangle it. xD) where we had margaritas - I had a coconut one <3 - and I was given the customary Mexican flag shot since it was my birthday. Was also required to wear a big fancy hat and get my picture taken with it.

When I got home I was a bit drunk.
But not too bad.

Now I am a tiny bit hungover, but I'll survive.

will be turning 21 on the 14th and I'm kind of nervous.
It's really a big step up on the adulthood ladder. I will be able to go into bars, to go to 21 + clubs, all that crazy stuff. I'm quite shy in social situations if I don't know someone, so this is going to be interesting. But I will prevail!

If I get nervous I'm sure I can always skitter away somewhere quiet to work up my courage and since my friends around here are not yet 21, I'll have my older sister and parents to hang out with if need be, so I've got that added comfort to cling to until I get used to it.

But other than that I am amazed by how fast time has passed. I remember when I turned 18. It was a huge thing, but now it seems so far away. Hell, it's three YEARS away. I never thought I'd be so startled by the passage of time!
