[link]Today we finally put Grandma's ashes in her plot beside Grandpa. It's been a year since her death and finally we were able to lay her to rest. It was a little affair, but the area was beautiful and there was quite a few people there in memory of my feisty Irish granny.
I did not expect to cry. Oh but I did.
Thankfully no sobbing, but my eye still hurt from all the crying.
I also slipped on the grass and managed to really badly twist my leg muscles. I almost thought I'd broken my leg for a moment, but it's only sprained.
Today I've seen monarch butterflies multiple times and it has made me feel so good. I drew them in the pictures I did for my grandma, so it's almost like she was given us her blessing.
I still miss her a lot, but she's moved on and I need to move on as well.
I love you Grandma Mary.

It's always hard laying someone you love to rest. It's been a little over a year since my step grandma died, and I never thought I would cry as much as I did... Though, I think mine was more out of guilt for not getting to know her better before she did.
But I'm glad that you got to finally lay her to rest. I think there's always a sense of relief when you do.
